This is another cool and rare alternative metal release from the early/mid-'90s, I always liked the dude's vocal delivery and the groove in these songs. The death metal-only crowd certainly won't like this one but I do. I can't believe they are still active since I haven't heard anything from them since 1998.

This band has been around for 30 years and this is the only disc that I have ever heard from them, simply because I have never sought them out since finding this a few years ago. This really isn't death metal and may not be appealing to all but for some reason on the infrequent times that I listen to this, I tend to listen all of the way through.
Here we are again at the beginning of a new year and the end of an old one, and it's ironic that I struggled so much to keep up again in 2018, because in last year's list I said that it would be hard to top 2017, and it is fairly obvious that this past year did. It's difficult to really fathom the sheer weight of all of the metal that '18 had to offer because I have 336 new releases between everything that I purchased, ripped & downloaded, and I probably didn't even scratch the surface of what was out there. It was a very healthy, highly saturated year for the scene with a ton of new bands and a lot of older established bands who came back, kicked ass, took names and left a trail of destruction in their wake.
There were so many bands and releases to consider and enjoy again in 2018 that it is almost obscene and further proof that metal is stronger than ever. The only downside is that it is almost impossible to hear and absorb it all. It also makes it very difficult to create a credible list of everything that was good, so as has been the case in recent years I am only offering suggestions of what I liked and nothing more and I will most assuredly leave many worthy releases off of the record. To prove this point when quality offerings from bands such as Supreme Carnage,Deadborn,Tortharry, Terrorizer, Revolting, Unbirth, Carnation, Storm Upon the Masses, Cemetery Urn and Abysmal Torment don't make the list, then it has been a pretty damn good year. I also thought that the new Requiem, Spirit of Rebellion, Gravestone, Nails of Imposition, Faithxtractor & Eroded were quite worthy as well as many others. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention one of my old favorites The Crown, who I thought created a very good comeback release this past year. As usual, I could keep going on and on but I won't, so without further ado, here is The Death Chamber's Top 30 for 2018.
I hope that you may discover something here that you missed and enjoy it as much as I do. This list is in no particular order and only reflects offerings that made me want to throw the \m/\m/ in the air, wreck my neck and break some shit, enjoy!
Well, I guess that is all I have to say for 2018. There was a ton of other good stuff out there in the past year but this list is good enough for me because I know others will promote many bands that I didn't. Continue to enjoy and Support as many of the bands as you can, so we can keep the Underground alive and well \m/\m/

I know that Dry Kill Logic will most definitely not appeal to the strict death metal fans around here but for some reason, I have always liked this disc. Everything after this had a tendency to be too melodic, but this release had a bit of an edge to it and is worthy of an open-minded listen.

This is a one man project band that is a bit difficult to accurately genre tag, it is described as progressive metal, but I also hear some death, and some core, and some thrash, as well as progressive metal. All in all it is pretty good if you're open minded enough to give it a chance.
