I seem to be ignorant of the music I love, because I hadn't heard this album until this year, and as it turns out, it was my favored style of early 90's Swedish death metal. Melodic and thrashy! I really like all of their material from back in the day; I wish I had been familiar with them then.

This was, is, and always will be my favorite EOS album because I think the riffs on this album are sick as fuck, just listen to that first riff in Twilight and then the ones in Elegy they make my eyes roll back in my head and just wanna bang my head. The 6 highlighted tracks are the draw of the album for me and they represent essential death metal.

I really liked this disc back in '94 even though I will admit that it is a bit disjointed and uncomfortable at times. I was just making the transition into death metal in this time period but thrash, alternative, & hardcore were still very much in my wheelhouse back then. I have their '95 disc on CD as well but it didn't do as much for me.

Here is an obscure band/release that some of you may find enjoyable. I found this disc in a local college record store back in the early '90s and it used to have a pretty strong rotation in my CD player but I hadn't listened to this in damn near 20 years until just recently and I am rediscovering why I liked this disc back in the day. There is some solid musicianship on display here from this trio but it is not your typical thrash metal.

Unfortunately, these guys would only release 2 full lengths, but if they could've somehow managed more then maybe they would've been right up there with bands from the Florida scene. This represents some awesome early 90's US death metal IMO. Just listen to Death Before Dismember and Flood of Blood to hear what I mean, the shit still sounds heavy as hell today (\m/\m/)
