Someone, and I don't remember exactly who it was, praised this album in the chatbox several weeks ago, and I am just now getting around to listening to it. I must say that I agree with the earlier assessment; this is a very nice step in the band's progression. Genre tagged as Avant-garde death metal, it just sounds like high-quality death metal to me.

This is an interesting album to me but this style won't be for everyone that's for sure. The main man over at Transcending Obscurity has been crushing it for years now with so many interesting bands and releases and this is another one.
