I was never much of a Nifelheim fan but I do appreciate the history that Hellbutcher brings with him from that band and Terror on drums was also in many bands of influence such as Deathwitch, Sacramentum, Runemagick, and Swordmaster. With that said I see why I like this album.

I was not aware of this band from Cincinnati back in the day and they only existed for a couple of years but they had a lot of talented people involved in a band that would only release this and 2 demos. From looking at the song titles on all 3 it looks like they created only 8 or 9 songs total and this disc has 4 of them, well 3 proper songs and a short instrumental but they're all good.

I always liked this album and felt it was the best of their offerings but I haven't listened to their newer stuff much other than the Afterbirth EP. They definitely have a deathcore vibe which will turn many off but this album is really pretty good.

Cemetery Anthems is the new release from Corpse Worship. Their 2 previous albums were very good for my tastes and while I haven't had time to listen to this album as much yet, it was officially released today, with one complete listen I can say this is another solid album for the band.

These guys put out one of my favorite albums in 2022 with Antichrist Reborn and here they are again in 2024 with another equally excellent release. They aren't doing anything particularly new or unique but they don't need to because they are crafting some seriously good death thrash.

I, unfortunately, have to admit that I have not paid much attention to this band in the past, I had listened to a few songs over the years but never took the time to listen to an entire album of theirs until now. Well. I'm glad that I did because I like this album. There may be nothing new going on here but they have a cool old-school hardcore vibe and the lead guitarist rips shit up so I am digging this one and want to explore their back catalog as time permits.

I haven't really given this band much of my attention over the years, surprisingly to me I only have one other album by them in my collection and that is their 2013 release. I really like this disc and now I will have to make time to go back and explore their other material.

This album came out in May and because I have been a couple of months behind on my album exploration I never heard more than a couple of tracks until just recently. Now that I have listened to it all I'm liking it. That's to be expected though considering the makeup of the band with representation from Centinex, Carnal Forge, Interment, and The Crown, damn some of my old-school favorites.

4. Focus 22

Witness: -[*]-
I have posted this album here a few different times now because Wired Anxiety is one of those bands that flashed so much potential and then disappeared. It's too bad and what is really bad is that I purchased this EP as a bundle with a t-shirt from Transcending Obscurity back in 2016. I was so excited to get it because I liked the album art and I wanted to wear the shirt, I know I would be one of very few to have it here in The States but when I got it even though the tag said XL it fit like a small and I never returned it.  These guys have an excellent 2012 debut <<< that you can get here \m/\m/

Witness: -[*]-
I came across these guys a couple of years ago and I liked their previous album quite a lot, and here their sound seems to be a bit more clean and polished, which I am certain can be attributed to this being their debut for Metal Blade but gladly the band still displays ample grit to keep it entertaining.
