Our friend CarlG has been promoting Deimler and this release heavily around here for several weeks now and with good reason as these guys have created some excellent death metal with their 2021 release that I had overlooked even though I had it in my October '21 folder. I don't think I had ever listened to it until CG hyped it up here again recently. Now, with this release, they have taken a move to solidify their standing as premier purveyors of death metal in the 2nd decade of the 2000s \m/\m/

I really liked their 2019 album and they have incorporated some new elements into this release, which work well for the overall flow of the record and entertainment value of the songs from my perspective. Damn, I like this disc! It seems that Asile Obscene have been around since 1999 but this is their 1st release of note. I can't say that they are doing anything overtly original with their style but these tracks are energetic and heavy with some nice riffs and catchy hooks. Check out the riff in track #7, Come From Your Grave, I liked it so much that I purchased a physical copy of the CD and I don't do that much anymore because they are lying in piles on my floor.

Here is the new album from Fallen Utopia and it is a pretty good offering. I have to thank CarlG for the heads up on this release as I had kind of forgotten about these guys since their 2018 album Disequilibrium. They certainly have some melodic tendencies but create solid death metal overall.
