The first thing that caught my attention about this album was the Dan Seagrave cover art, and then the quality of the death metal solidified it. These guys are based out of Springfield, Missouri and feature the skills of Chason Westmoreland on drums. This is good stuff.

Infinite Misery is a 2-man kill team from Connecticut who proudly embrace their Cannibal Corpse influences as they skillfully serve up 2 tracks of ripping death metal. I eagerly look forward to seeing if they remain as sharp when they have more material to offer.

Damn, this blows me away I wasn't expecting this to be so good! I don't know much about this band because I can find very little info on them, but based on the Bandcamp link above they also go simply by B.C. and there must be some sort of contractual issue with the label because this album, which leaked in August of last year, doesn't have any marketing or promotion from what I can tell. Hell so far, I think I am the only person to give my man IllInTheHead over at STB a beer for sharing this band. It's a shame because this is highly bad ass \m/\m/

I haven't really listened to this band much since this album came out, I passed over their newer stuff but thanks to CarlG I went back and listened to Cult Cthulhu recently. It made me notice that I had never posted this album here and it is highly deserving of a spot in The Chamber.

I haven't listened to this album in a long time, and when I went back to it in my files I realized that I had originally gotten this rip from Gun, who I believe was the original creator of The Final Tragedy blog, and when that site was taken down it prompted me to start The Death Chamber. As far as this album goes, I prefer their next album over this, but this file has a bit of history behind it.

For my tastes, this is the best overall Night In Gales album since Towards the Twilight, and listening to this is what finally prompted me to put up all of the albums from them that I enjoy. Over the years I have heard a bit of a mixed opinion on this band from other metalheads, but I really liked their first 2 albums, and their more recent efforts have been very good as well.

Even though they came into the scene towards the end of the heyday, I always felt that Night In Gales had a very entertaining twist on the Gothenburg sound. This album was easily my favorite of their early releases.

I hadn't listened to this band in a long time, probably since their first album, which I don't remember caring for very much. I've had their 2nd album in my September 2013 folder but don't think I ever listened to it until recently and the only reason I did now is because of this disc. I mean check the video above, the song is killer. It surprises me how much I like this album, these guys appear to be off the rails and so is their music, and it fukking jams! They definitely have improved for my tastes over the years.

Drift Of Genes has been at it for a while now and I have their 2014 album posted here but haven't listened in a long time. I like this new disc; the songs have a heavy groove that appeals to me. Their lineup shows 2 original members remaining, the guitarist and drummer, both guys, but the only recent band photo I found shows only the guitarist and bass player, both not guys. Here is an album that seemed to slip past some of us around here, originally released in 2017, but I hadn't seen it until April 2023, at least that's the folder it resides in. Interestingly, CarlG brought them up last weekend and I had just been listening to this for the first time too and wanted to promote them as well. Metal minds think alike I guess. This is a decent offering of straight-up, no-rills death metal and not bad at all.
