I had lost track of this band since their 2014 release Holykaust and completely missed their 2019 effort but then CarlG promoted this new disc a few weeks back and I am damn glad that he did because this is an exceptional reintroduction for this band in 2024. Solid from first to last!

I really liked Unbreakable Hatred's 2011 album, which I bought when it first came out and I had high expectations for this band. Then, this disc came out and I liked it but it got washed out by the multitude of other higher-quality releases in 2015 and then the band broke up and that was it.

Every so often there is one of those albums that you don't expect to so thoroughly enjoy and when you do it recharges your batteries and to me, this is one of those albums exactly. There have been a little more than a handful of top-notch death metal releases this year for my tastes and at this moment I will include Fulci's debut for 20 Buck Spin in that category because this is awesome.

As it turns out this band is much better than I have ever realized. The only album I had previously heard is their 2021 release which I liked but didn't realize that this album here was so damn good too until now that I have opened my eyes to these Italian purveyors of brutality because of their excellent new release Duck Face Killings.

Here is a Spanish band that I wasn't familiar with until now and this seems to be a compilation of their entire catalog from 2002 - 2007. These songs are a faithful homage to '90s death metal and they sound good to me. Assuming these guys are actually still active I hope they produce something new in the near future.

Weird band name and I see they're labeled as melodic blackened death metal but I don't agree with that tag at least not for these 3 tracks. I am not familiar with their older music but this sounds more like modern death metal to me and I like it and now I want to hear more.

Northern UK death metal with an epic feel and enough technicality and aggression to keep it intriguing throughout.

This is my first exposure to this band and I like most of what I hear on this EP and another band with a sense of humor. I need to check out their 2020 album to see if it is of the same caliber. Another great share by IllInTheHead @ STB.

Thanks dude, I really enjoyed listening to the new album today. I am not into some of this newer BDM I've been hearing but these guys have been around for a long time and their experience shows on the new material \m/\m/

Carnophage is back, this time on one of my favorite labels Transcending Obscurity, with their new album. It is interesting that they have been around since 2006 and they have released 3 LPs each being 8 years apart. I wonder if that means we will not hear from them again until 2032? I hope it is much sooner than that because this is another quality release.
