I have to thank the Youtube algorithm for turning me onto this band several weeks back. At that time it was almost impossible to find any information about them other than their homepage but now I see they also have a Metal-Archives profile. I really like this disc, it is a bit too short but looking forward to hearing more in the future.

Here is some straight-up, no-frills death metal for all of the lovers of that style. Griefgod has been active since only 2023 but it seems that some of the members may have been together in other bands since 2016. Either way they have a good grasp on their style and they have created a solid album.

Constant Paranoia was a death metal band from South Holland that released 2 albums in the early 2000s, which I unfortunately missed out on back then. Fast forward years later and I had their '04 release in my July 2015 folder and never gave it much attention but when I finally came across this album back in November of last year and realized how good it is I went back and gave their earlier album a few spins as well. Now, I like them both and want to share their music with others who may have missed out on this band. The complexity of the guitar work is what grabs my attention the most but the entire band is highly skilled and the music is very good.

I like this one. A lot of the time I feel like brutal death metal bands tend to take themselves and their content too seriously. I mean come on, I like brutal music but I have no desire to murder and mutilate people but these guys don't seem to take themselves so seriously and yet they create some catchy brutal music.

The country of Finland has a long history of quality death metal and for me the newer bands like Cryptic Hatred who are quickly becoming 1 of my favorite bands and the more obscure bands like Exigenced, Fearmonger, and Nocturnal Mortuary are at the top of my current list. As for Living Inferno they have been around for about 4 years and this is their 1st LP and I like what I am hearing here for sure.

We have recently been talking about Chilean death metal releases in 2024 and here is one that you shouldn't sleep on. These guys are from Santiago and it seems they have been around for about 8 years now and all but 1 original member remains from the inception. I can tell that time together has served them well on their 1st full-length album.

I really liked this album when it came out back in 2012. I thought this disc sounded more substantial than many of the other tech death releases from that moment in time and I assumed that we would be hearing a lot more from this band over the years but that hasn't been the case. This is my CD rip and I feel this is recommended listening \m/\m/
