I don't have a lot of information on this band but I do know that many of these tracks were written several years ago and just finally released on an album in 2021. What I can say though is that I love the guitarwork, especially the leads. This is very much a thrash metal album with some death metal overtones primarily in the vocals but I am really enjoying this one at the moment.

In many ways this disc hardens back to Swedish death of the '90s and to me that isn't a bad thing. Nothing new or particularly original but I like their take on it.

Anyway, this is a very good album in my opinion as I really like their style of aggressive death metal and look forward to hearing more from these guys in the future.

Illucinus - The Machine (EP) [2022]

This is a brutal slab of technical death metal and it seems that this is a re-recorded version of the band's 2008 EP of the same name and the tracks were written in 2006. I never heard the '08 version but these tracks sound very fresh by today's standards so it would have been ahead of its time 16 years ago.

Wow! These guys came out of nowhere, well actually Belgium to be more correct, but who the hell knew about this disc anyway? I'll say that it displays a lot of talent and a firm grasp of traditional death metal. It seems this album was officially released today on Wormhole Death Records but I don't see it anywhere on their release page and it is also hard to find much information on these guys at all but I am certain that is about to change.

I personally think this band gets overlooked because I don't hear much buzz about them but all of their material is quite good for my tastes and deserves to be recognized and if the 2 tracks they released last year on the Burial or Cremation EP are an indicator their next album is going to be killer as well \m/\m/

This is a very good album that I managed to miss a few years back and just recognized it recently thanks to CarlG. It is weird too because I really liked their 2 previous albums but had forgotten about these guys. The other thing that stands out is that they released 3 full-length discs in 5 years and now nothing for the past 4 years, so I would say that they are due.
