Here is a band that has been around in one form or another since '91 - '92 and I had never heard of them prior to this disc and I must say that I like this effort quite a bit. They have 2 members remaining from the early '90s inception and the rest are more recent additions to the lineup but they have created a very good album here.

About a week ago I received an email from Bob, who if I am not mistaken is the drummer for Skullshitter, a band that I had never heard of but then again I am not much of an authority on grindcore bands, and he said that the band would be honored to have me share their new album here in The Chamber. Well, here you go Bob, I present to you all from Brooklyn, New York, Skullshitter - Goat Claw.

This disc came out back in January and Unbound was talking it up quite a bit here in the chatbox, so I checked it out based on his recommendation and I have to say that this has grown into one of my favorite releases so far this year. To me, this has a very European quality to the style but the band is from Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and there are so many cool aspects to these tracks that it always remains an entertaining listen \m/\m/

Burning Flesh is an underrated band in my opinion as they have created 3 solid albums so far in their career but you never hear much hype about them at least none that I am aware of. Back in the 2014 time frame they changed vocalists and re-recorded this disc with their new screamer but this is the 2013 version with the original vocalist. I was doing some research and it seems they changed vocalists again in 2019 following the release of their most recent offering and this time they went for a female throat. Hopefully, we will hear something new from this band soon.

The first time I listened to this disc I didn't get past the first 3 songs and I turned it off because it seemed like they were trying to do way too much technicality. I had always liked their previous work, especially their 2010 EP but it was/is more restrained and heavy IMO. Then SourceRa came in here and promoted this disc heavily and I went back to it and realized the quality of their work here. Thanks my brother for pushing it the way you did.

All-female death metal band from Mexico City with their 2nd full-length album and it has all of the boxes checked as far as musicianship, songwriting, production quality, etc...but I am still not sure how I feel about it. I really liked their 2018 offering and while this one hasn't really gotten its teeth into me yet I am warming up to it.

Our buddy defleshed is always talking about going through his music files and deleting the stuff he doesn't like or listen to but I hardly ever do that, I just continue to accumulate music. The result of my hoarding ways is that I am always finding stuff in my own collection that I didn't even remember that I had and this album from Fleshkiller is another example. It has been in my October 2017 folder and I don't think I had ever listened to it until just recently and I find it quite enjoyable. This certainly won't be for everybody because it is highly progressive drawing a lot of comparisons to the technical thrash band Extol and rightly so due to the commonality of a couple of members but I know this will appeal to some of you out there.
