Here is a band that caught me a little by surprise and I like this disc more than I thought I would upon first inspection. Denmark's Terrorpy has created a highly effective slab of death metal with this, their debut release. The band also features one of the guitarists from an old favorite of mine, Spectral Mortuary.

Depravity is a band that I have always liked since I first heard them but at the same time I've always thought they've had a little too much going on in their compositions, but don't get me wrong I like this disc, it's probably their best work.

This band has been around for 30 years and this is the only disc that I have ever heard from them, simply because I have never sought them out since finding this a few years ago. This really isn't death metal and may not be appealing to all but for some reason on the infrequent times that I listen to this, I tend to listen all of the way through.

Stellar new material from Crawling Chaos, this is definitely going to be on my list at the end of the month, the only question is at what position. I have been a fan of these guys since their Repellent Gastronomy release in 2013, but I had no idea they were due for something new until our old friend Bongripper dropped the intel in here last weekend. Many thanks, my brother \m/\m/

So, finally here is a new release from Unborn, I believe that this is the first new material since their 2012 release Inhumation. This probably isn't going to blow anyone away but I think they created a pretty solid release. My only complaint is that with 8 years to work on new material I think they could have given us a few more tracks.

I haven't heard much talk about this disc for some reason and I don't get it because this is some quality death metal from a long-running band in the scene, so I guess it's because 2020 has been such a fertile year for death metal with so many prime examples of the art.

Heavy new death metal from Brooklyn, New York & Glorious Depravity. These guys have only been at it for 2 years now, but each member has experience in other bands, and it shows because this is a mature-sounding debut.
