I have long had an affinity for the death metal scene from this part of the world as I think that I may have had a minor influence on it back in the early 2000s with a bunch of CD's that I burned for a colleague/friend from that area. Whatever, I'm full of myself as always but this is pretty good none the less. Thanks to momm at Share The Brutality for yet another share.

So, here is an album that caught me off guard. When I first saw this artwork and the track titles I was expecting something a little different, maybe a little more atmospheric or more overt Egyptian influences but these Saxons surprised me, they crank out some punishing death metal on this release. Very good in my opinion \m/\m/

Damn, I don't know about you all but I completely whiffed on this disc back in 2014 and am only now catching on to it. What about the rest of you? These guys have created 32 minutes of intensely killer death thrash with these 5 tracks. Just listen to the riffs in the above youtube link of Kneel Before the Steel to hear what I mean. It seems that they have some new material coming later this year as well. I hope they keep their style very similar to this because it is totally fucking badass!
