Japanese technicality & brutality from a band who has been around since '96 with the same members and have only released a demo and now 2 LP's. This shit's good \m/\m/

My buddy nuttinface turned me onto this band earlier in the week and I have to give him props. When he told me about this and I first looked into the band and saw melodic, deathcore, & groove metal tags I had a certain expectation. However, this album contains some infectious death metal songs and while all of the mentioned elements are present and the 2nd vocal style is a bit overused, I like this album for what it is.

Damn, when I first saw this I thought, "holy shit Perversion has a new release" but I was thinking of the UAE band and unfortunately this isn't them as these guys are from Detroit. But, after listening to this I have to say that I like this version of Perversion too and they have been around for more than 10 years already but this is my 1st exposure to their material.

When this first showed up back in September, I confused this band with another one that had a similar name, which I can't think of right now, and I didn't care too much for, but this is a completely different band and a much better album.

I've long liked this disc, it was one of my early favorites in 2013. This band carried a deathcore label and they were, so many will stay away but with they got enough prog-tech death metal goodness to make it very interesting in my opinion \m/\m/

I really liked this disc when I first heard it and it's unfortunate that the band split-up shortly after the release because this is done very well and if you're into traditional styled death metal then this release is certainly worthy of your attention. The vocalist would later perform on Fractured Insanity's Man Made Hell release.

As CarlG likes to point out often, Sweden hit it hard last year producing a lot of great death metal and this release from Creeping Flesh is another prime example of that fact.

If this blog weren't called The Death Chamber, this disc may have been on my Best Of list last year. I love the familiar style they have conjured up with these tracks. I know it is totally lame if you're a death metal only guy but if you're a heavy metal guy who is into both styles, then you will surely like this album.

So, for anyone who has a soft spot in their heart for this type of old-style metal, then I think you'll be impressed with this band's caliber, the vocals are top shelf and the rest of the band delivers as well. And their newest release is sofa king good. From Seattle, Washington, I give you Skelator \m/\m/
