Not the typical technical brutal Polish death metal, Northern Plague definitely play a more blackened version but this disc is still very good in my opinion. They have a 2017 release that seems to be a bit more melodic black than this release.

Mercyless has been around since the late 80s or at least the vocalist/guitarist has, so the moniker has many releases to its credit. Other than their 2013 release, which was very good, I can't say I have listened to them much. As a result, I overlooked this release when it came out last year, but now I've finally come around to it and am glad that I did because this is a very good album as well.
