This was the last album with David Wayne as the vocalist until he rejoined the band for a short time in the late 90s, and they released Masterpeace, which I have actually never listened to. These first 2 albums from Metal Church were highly effective and essential at the time.

This was the only Lizzy Borden album I ever came across in my local record store back in the day and I bought it. I have to admit that this was always a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, I thought they were campy in their appearance but there are a few really good tracks on this album, the track Notorious in the YouTube link up there is a good example.

Stellar power thrash from Oklahoma City back in the day. A friend of mine had this vinyl and I recorded it onto high quality Maxell high bias tape with Dolby C and listened to it until I wore it out. Unfortunately, these guys would only release this 1 full-length album and it suffered from poor production, however, there is a remastered version available nowadays which sounds much better but this rip isn't that version.

Here is another old favorite of mine. This album contains some excellent guitar work and some damn catchy songs in my opinion and it seems that these guys are still active and it appears they still have the original lineup intact \m/\m/

Helstar was one of my favorite bands from the '80s and IMO, they probably had the best first 4 album run of any band in the genre from that era and this release is their best overall effort from my perspective \m/\m/

This was the only Cirith Ungol album that I ever saw in my local record stores back in the day, I have since heard a few of their other releases and I like King of the Dead quite a bit as well but this is my favorite release from this long-running band.

Another LP that I bought on a hunch, and it turned out to be one of my all-time favorites in the genre. Chicago based Damien Thorne (my namesake). I'm not sure why but this album always had a hold on me. "Weakening fury and summoning minds, terror of the time to behold." CD rip + scans (\m/\m/)
