One of many US-based bands with the same name and these guys were from Georgia & created a pretty decent, if not a little too lo-fi at times, album back in 1988 and then disappeared. They are really very good and sound comparable to early Slayer at times.

I just came across this Ep a few weeks ago, I wasn't aware of this incarnation of Damien, I'm familiar with the US and Malaysian bands but not this one and these 3 tracks are really pretty good, especially if you think about it in terms of 1988. They have a bunch of demo stuff and a 2016 compilation that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on.

I found this on cassette in my local record store back in '88 and I fell in love with this music, so now 30 years later I finally bought the CD and I paid for it too 😮. I didn't really care for their stuff prior to this album but never understood why Pantera as a band ignored this material in their live shows, in my opinion, there are some great tracks here. "I asked you once a million times to keep your life the same."

This was one of my favorite bands in the early '80s and there are about 9 very good tracks here from their early career and I liked their next release, Power of the Night a lot as well. Criss Oliva was a very good guitarist but he and his brother didn't always make consistent music or hold the band together and then Criss died too soon (RIP) \m/\m/
