This is one of the better albums of the year so far for my tastes. I had a digital copy on pre-order, and I listened to it a couple of times when it first came out, but then I just let the album sit. I am not sure why, other than I always have this urge to listen to the next new thing and don't have enough time to go back to favorites frequently. Anyway, I was finally listening to this again a few days ago and marveling at just how damn good this band has been in the last several years with their LPs. I feel like they've added some new elements to these tracks, and it's working for me.

Our friend CarlG has been promoting Deimler and this release heavily around here for several weeks now and with good reason as these guys have created some excellent death metal with their 2021 release that I had overlooked even though I had it in my October '21 folder. I don't think I had ever listened to it until CG hyped it up here again recently. Now, with this release, they have taken a move to solidify their standing as premier purveyors of death metal in the 2nd decade of the 2000s \m/\m/
